REST Countries

Partner Program

Write about APIs, teach developers, or build tools other developers use? Share REST Countries with them and earn a cut of everything they spend. It's what most companies call an affiliate program: you get a link, we handle the tracking, and you're paid every month for as long as they stay.

The terms

20%
of what your referrals pay
30 days
attribution window per click
8th
of the month, paid out

How it works

There's nothing to install and no affiliate dashboard to learn. Once you're approved:

You get a link

Something like restcountries.com/partners/your-name, pointing at whichever API fits your audience. Put it in a post, a video description, a course, or your docs.

We track the click

Anyone who follows it is attributed to you for the next 30 days. If they sign up in that window, they're yours, whether they subscribe that day or a few weeks later.

We email you

Whenever someone you referred upgrades, a note lands in your inbox with the plan they picked and what it's worth to you. You find out as it happens rather than at the end of the month.

You get paid

Every time one of your referrals pays us, 20% of it is yours. Payouts for a month go out on the 8th of the month after, and they keep coming for as long as that customer stays subscribed.

Who it's for

We're looking for people already talking to developers. That usually looks like:

  • Writers and bloggers covering APIs, data, or web development
  • Course creators, instructors, and bootcamps teaching people to build
  • YouTube channels and newsletters with a developer audience
  • Agencies and consultants who set up integrations for clients
  • Maintainers of libraries, templates, or tools that need country data

You don't need a huge audience. A small, focused one that trusts you is worth more to us than a big one that doesn't.

Good to know

  • Applications are reviewed by a person, usually within one business day
  • You can use the API yourself on any plan, including the free one
  • Paid search on our brand terms, coupon-stuffing, and anything that misrepresents what the APIs do will end the partnership
  • We can change or end the program at any time, and either side can walk away whenever they want

The short version is above. What actually governs the program is section 22 of our Terms of Service, which covers how referrals are attributed, how commission is earned and paid, and what will get a partnership ended. Applying means you're agreeing to them.

Apply

Tell us where you'd be sharing and we'll take it from there.

Name
Website

A site, channel, newsletter, or profile is all fine. Whichever one best shows who you're reaching.

How you'd share the APIs

A couple of sentences is plenty. Which API fits your audience, and roughly how many people you reach.

By applying you agree to the Terms of Service, including the Partner Program terms in section 22.
